About the House

This historic building dates back to 1845. While restored to a high standard, it retains the character of its age — you may notice features that differ from modern homes, and this is part of its charm.

As part of the rural setting, you may occasionally encounter small insects such as spiders. The property is thoroughly cleaned; this is natural to the environment. We recommend airing rooms daily and using the heating as needed, particularly in cooler or damp weather.

Comfort & Essentials

  • Fully fitted kitchen — dishwasher, smart TV, WiFi, hairdryer
  • Heating controlled from the kitchen on a timer — use the boost function for extra heat or hot water (one hour is typically sufficient)

Hot Water

  • Electric shower in bathroom
  • Immersion required for sinks

House Guidelines

  • No smoking or vaping inside the property
  • No parties or events without prior agreement
  • Registered guests only
  • Please keep noise to a minimum in the late evenings
  • Respect neighbours at all times

Pets

Dogs welcome by prior arrangement (€50 per pet). Please do not leave pets unattended. Any damage caused may incur an additional charge.

Children

  • The property is not child-proofed
  • Located on a busy road — extra supervision required

Fireplace / Stove & Candles

Only use if confident doing so safely. Never leave unattended.

Safety Equipment

  • Smoke detectors
  • Carbon monoxide alarm
  • Fire extinguisher
  • Fire blanket
  • First aid kit

Ultrasonic deterrent devices are in place — not audible to most people or pets, though very sensitive guests may notice a faint sound.
